Summer Shipping: During summer time (April 20 through October 20) Schmilk Chocolate must use special shipping methods for chocolate in order to maintain quality standards. We ship our products via USPS Priority in non-refrigerated trucks, and as a result chocolate bars can melt during summer shipments. Therefore, your packages will be protected with Cool Shield insulation sheets and reusable gel ice packs via USPS Priority from our Vermont factory, which has a 2-3 day shipping time.

Shipping rates and handling fees vary by region. You'll see increased shipping costs during the hotter months (US) to cover the process and careful handling of your chocolates. These rates and fees are waived when you order $60 or more of Schmilk products.

Overnight Option: If you live in an area where it's consistently hotter than 90F, we encourage you to USPS Express shipping; we'll contribute to a certain amount of the shipping costs. For this option please contact us at 802-497-2861.

Ship dates: Orders placed after Tuesday may be held until the following Monday (when appropriate) to ensure packages do not sit in USPS warehouses over the weekend.

Shipping address: We recommend that you ship your chocolate to an address where someone will be available to accept your shipment. We are not responsible for packages left outside after delivery where chocolate may melt.

To avoid shipping charges for chocolate from April through September, ask for Schmilk vegan milk chocolate bars at your local store where they are available year round. 

Disclaimer: While we will make every attempt to ensure your order arrives without melting, we make no guarantees. If you choose to place an order for chocolate products through our online store or via phone between April 20 and October 20, or if the temperature in your region is above 70 degrees, you do so at your own risk.

These shipping details apply during the summer months and may not apply to voluntary insulated shipping during the rest of the year.

Discounts and Free Shipping Terms and Conditions 

Discount codes can only be used once, per customer, per order. Free shipping (US Domestic) only applies to single orders that total over $60 after the discount code is applied.

If you are dissatisfied with your order, give us a call and we'll do whatever we can to make it right. Or, if you wish, we'll simply refund you.
